In my first year at the Angewandte we got the task from our professor to move through the city. Nothing more. He wanted to test how differently we students perceive things, whether we notice symmetries where we didn‘t see any before. Or whether we perceive colors differently and more intensively when we become aware of them. It was impressive how different not only the perception and attention itself were, but also the subjective meaning of aesthetics itself.
